From non-diesel golf carts to computer-monitored brackish water systems, Wailea Golf Club is “green” in more ways than one. In addition to its recycling program for plastic waste, Wailea’s award-winning pro shops have expanded its selection of golf and resort products including eco-friendly items made from bamboo and other renewable fibers. “[The Wailea Golf Clubhouse] is a wonderful environment – it’s bright, airy, naturally lit and art displays beautifully here,” said Art on the Green organizer Lucia
Participating artists rotate on a daily basis. On any given day, five are on site to talk with guests and sell their original creations. Often, they can be seen working on their next piece.
“By rotating the featured artists and the artwork itself, Art on the Green keeps things fresh and serendipitous for the folks who come by the clubhouse frequently,”
Art on the Green takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Wailea Golf Club’s Gold & Emerald Clubhouse. Complimentary parking is available at the golf clubhouse parking lot. Admission to the art program is free and open to the public. The adjacent SeaWatch Restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
