Eddie Lee, PGA

Wailea Golf Academy’s Director of Instruction, Eddie Lee, PGA, is widely recognized as one of the top golf teachers in Hawaii.

A graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy, Lee developed an early passion for coaching and teaching, helping beginning and average golfers achieve greater success in their game. His students have included PGA Tour winner Notah Begay III and LPGA winner Dorothy Delasin, as well as a number of notable celebrities including Mike Myers, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Freddie Prinze Jr., Stedman Graham, Maria Shriver and Damon Wayans.

Over his 25 year teaching career, Lee has received numerous honors both as an instructor and golf professional, including being named by the Aloha Section PGA as Junior Golf Leader, Golf Professional of the Year, and twice as Teacher of the Year. Golf Digest has recognized Lee as one of the best teachers in the state continuously since 2000, and for 10 years, he served as the lead instructor for the prestigious David Leadbetter Golf Academy in Hawaii, home-based at the Wailea Golf Club.

Lee was also a two-time qualifier for the National Club Professional Championships, and a qualifier for the Senior National Club Professional Championships in 2016. He has served the golf community as a vice president of the Aloha Section PGA and co-chair of the Aloha Section PGA Teaching Committee.


Renee Lee, PGA

Born and raised in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Renee Lee played golf as a junior competitively until gravitating to field hockey in high school and on through college. After graduating from Penn State University, she relocated to Maui, Hawaii, where she was reintroduced to the game of golf and later became a certified instructor, trained in the teaching philosophies of David Leadbetter.

A PGA Class A member since 2001, Lee joined the David Leadbetter Golf Academy as an instructor in 2006, helping a broad range of students – from junior players to life-long golfers – improve their game.  She has also served on the Aloha Section PGA Teaching Committee, and for her dedication to junior golfers, received the Aloha Section PGA’s Youth Player Development Award in 2015.
